The Cancer Challenge
One in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer; the earlier the diagnosis is made, the more likely a cure. Current methods of diagnosis like scans only work when the cancer has advanced to a stage where it is visible. We need diagnostic methods which work at earlier stages. Sensor technology offers the promise of being one such technology. If successful, this will represent the greatest social and commercial application of biosensor technology. That is the Cancer Challenge - finding the important bio-marker sensor technology combinations.
To facilitate finding a solution to the Cance Challenge, Sensor100 is forming a Cancer Diagnostic Network of bio-marker, sensor and oncology experts. The activities of the Network will evolve with its membership, but initially it will:
Have a quarterly newsletter, and a social media presence (Twitter) |
|
---|---|
Have regular meetings - the first will be in April 2017 in London | |
Identify major barriers to adoption of new sensor diagnostic technology | |
Assist in raising funds for an on-line innovation platform to identify leading bio-marker sensor combinations |
Annual Membership Fees
Individuals and Pre-revenue companies | £100 |
---|---|
Charities, SMEs, health centres, universities | £250 |

VAT at 20% will be added to all Membership Fees
