Driven by the ubiquitous smartphone technology, digital health is argu-
ably the fastest growing application area for sensors in healthcare. Many
hundreds of apps have been developed and are readily available, but the
market has not yet rationalised those which make a worthwhile contribution
to health and well being, from the trivial.
