HackaThon

The HackaThon, introduced this year, is a competition for teams of postgraduate students to work together to devise an innovative new application of a sensor for healthcare.

Following a short introduction to the task, teams will spend the day creating a new sensor healthcare application. There will be mentors avaiable to provide guidance if required.

At the end of the day, each team will present their concept to a panel of judges, who will select the winning entry. A suitable prize will reward the winning team.

This is a great opportunity for students to hone their teamwork, creativity and communication skills in a failsafe environment.

Students can register as team of 5, or individually, and we will assign them to a team. Students registered for Sensors in Medicine 2016 can participate in the HackaThon for free; others pay a £60+VAT registration fee. There is a 50% discount for students registering as team of 5

Don't be nervous - it should be good fun, and you may gain some CV useful recognition; as a minimum, it will enhance your teamworking skills.
